Porch Addition - Black Mountain, NC

We were pretty excited about this one as the existing residence was the 1972 Better Homes and Gardens ‘house plan of the year.’ Considering the home’s provenance, it was deemed wise to tread lightly and harmonize as closely as possible with the existing context.

The addition consisted of a new screened porch at the rear of the home, with covered access to the basement art studio below incorporated into the design. We also provided a master plan for a future primary suite and carport.
